He was permitted to join Fulham on loan last season because he didn't play much for the first team.

When they won the Championship at the end of the 2021–2022 season, the 21-year-old played 15 times for them.

Williams has been strongly connected to a long-term departure from Liverpool this summer. According to The Athletic, Nottm Forest and 'arranged a fee' to sign him for £17 million.

Liverpool, who earlier this window signed Calvin Ramsay, are "glad to sell" him.

In Forest's 3-5-2 formation, the Wales international will enter play on the right. Omar Richards of Bayern Munich is another player they are "aiming to sign" to play on the left.

According to the report, Forest is 'eager to hire' the around £2.5 million Huddersfield Town left-back Harry Toffolo.

Additionally, it's been said that Everton and Nottingham Forest are both interested in Morgan Gibbs-White of the Wolves.

Last season, Gibbs-White spent a very good period on loan at Sheffield United.

His 12 goals and ten assists earned him the club's Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards.

The Blades, who lost to Nottingham Forest in the play-off semifinals, will try again the following season in an effort to make it back to the Premier League.

Gibbs-White is attracting a lot of interest, and Forest manager Steve Cooper wants to bring him to the City Ground.

The Athletic reports that Everton has joined the Reds in the competition to sign the under-21 midfielder from England.

The Toffees have expressed a "late interest" in the Wolves player and will compete with Forest for his services.

The 22-year-old is reportedly valued at £30 million by the Molineux club. In two years, his contract will expire.

According to the report, Kevin Thelwell, the current director of football at Everton and a former Wolves technical director and academy manager, has a "excellent relationship" with the player.
