Individual from Parliament for North Tongu electorate, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has revealed that his Right to Information requesting to the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) has shown that the authority has no information on the improvement of the National Cathedral by Ribade Company Ltd.
The PPAs response exhibits that it offered no consent to Ribade Company Ltd. to assemble the National Cathedral.
Sharing his disclosures on Twitter on July 6, the authority saw that he was in pure shock at the US$400 million government had redirected into a place of God whose improvement association isn't seen by the directing master in Ghana.
He saw that plainly Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta didn't keep up with Ghana's obtaining guidelines or observed fair treatment to put forth an extraordinary defense as given by guideline.
In the degree of purpose for the acquisition structures, the lawmaker saw that the Act applies to Section 14 1 (a) of the Public Procurement Act,2003 (Act 663) that, the securing of items, works and organizations, upheld in whole or somewhat from public resources except for where the Minister presumes that it is in the public interest to use a substitute strategy. He continued "this is another enormous extension to the by and large vast cases of outright encroachment of the 1992 Constitution and various laws of Ghana, suddenly in a safe-haven project which should have enlightened God. Without a doubt, even people who work for Satan don't take part in such a defiant slam."
The MP has been a gooney bird on the neck of the President as he polices his developments and of late, exploring the improvement of his assurance to God, the National Cathedral.
