A simple bridge linking the New City of Akwidaa to the Old City within the Western Region has collapsed. This has left the locals with no choice but to swim in the river Ezile which allows you to gain access to nearby groups. According to residents, this is the second time that the bridge has collapsed after a significant incident in 2020. ‘ After a previous incident, the bridge was transformed into a reconstructed wooden structure instead of a permanent one. The dream, however, did not come true, and therefore, it created a short situation to bind at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022. A Member of Parliament for the Akwidaa constituency, Emmanuel Bonney, said residents were finding it difficult to cross the river. The state of silence has disrupted the lives of many inside the stadium. “Those within the Old City [of Akwidaa] get drinking water in the New City [of Akwidaa], so that they can pass through to get access to the water they are eating into a problem. "And because of the importance of this bridge, boat people are exploiting civilians who need to travel between those cities," she told JoyNews in an interview on Wednesday. As a result, Mr. Bonney was able to help us all speed up the network rebuilding the bridge that connects 2 groups and different neighboring villages. “If I can get help from the Assembly these days, we can start something these days because after harassing the Forestry Commission, they finally let us cut down a few bushes on this project. "However, because of the rain we are not getting any tons of wood left over for a week, but this week we are busy getting more so we can start something as soon as we get soft poles," he said. will host JoyNews during the day Kojo Brace on Wednesday.
