"Gone!" - In an Instagram post, Romelu Lukaku appears to take a jab at Chelsea.

Inter Milan have confirmed the loan signing of Romelu Lukaku, and the forward appeared to be thinking of his parent club Chelsea when he posted song lyrics on Instagram.

Romelu Lukaku appeared to mock Chelsea on Instagram after completing a season-long loan move to Inter Milan last month.

The Italian club confirmed the deal in a video of the striker on top of their headquarters, declaring to president Steven Zhang, "I'm back!"

The 29-year-old re-signed for the Blues last summer for a club-record fee of £97.5 million, but he managed only eight Premier League goals during a rollercoaster season at Stamford Bridge on both a club and personal level.

Inter's deal to bring Lukaku back to San Siro will cost £10.3 million, which includes a £6.9 million loan fee and £3.4 million in bonuses. The Belgium international has also agreed to a 30% pay cut to help expedite the move ahead of pre-season, reducing his earnings from around £10 million per year after tax to £7 million.

The Nerazzurri will use all of Lukaku's wages next season, hoping he can regain the form he showed during his first stint in Milan. The former Manchester United striker scored 64 goals in 95 games to help Inter win their first Serie A title in 11 years in 2021.

Lukaku, on the other hand, struggled for form at Chelsea and fell out of favor with Thomas Tuchel after giving an interview to Sky Italia in which he appeared to hint that he wants to return to Italy. Despite finishing the season as Chelsea's first-choice striker, Lukaku has decided to leave and pursue new opportunities.

Lukaku appeared to criticize Chelsea for how they treated him last season in an Instagram post. He stated that he will demonstrate "how simple it is to cut ties."

According to Lukaku's post: "If the energy isn't right, I'll probably show you I'm solid first. I'm going to show you how simple it is to cut ties; no more tries. Gone…"

The lyrics are from Moneybagg Yo's 2021 album A Gangsta's Pain, which topped the Billboard charts in the United States.

Lukaku told Sky Italia in December about his Chelsea future: "I have always said that I have Inter in my heart: I know I will return to Inter, I really hope so."

"I adore Italy; now is the time to speak up and let the world know what really happened." I sincerely hope, from the bottom of my heart, to return to Inter not at the end of my career, but while I'm still at the top level, so that we can win more titles together."
