Court of Appeal subdues Bank of Ghana's disavowal of UniCredit's permit

 

A Court of Appeal in Accra has switched the choice of the Bank of Ghana to disavow the working permit of UniCredit Ghana Limited as a saving and credits organization in Ghana.

 

As per GHOne TV, the court on July 7, 2022, announced the choice of the Bank of Ghana to repudiate the permit of UniCredit.

 

The court added that the choice of the Bank of Ghana additionally comprises a maltreatment of force.

 

"The Court of Appeal has, today, pronounced the choice of Bank of Ghana to renounce the permit of Unicredit as an unlawful activity of its powers and has, in this way … subdued the disavowal of Unicredit Ghana Limited's permit which was contained in Bank of Ghana's notification dated sixteenth August 2019," portions of a progression of tweets shared by GHOne TV read.

 

In August 2019, the Bank of Ghana (BoG) disavowed the functional permit of 23 reserve funds and advances organizations including UniCredit Ghana Limited as a component of the Financial Sector Clean-up work out.

This was after HODA Holdings Limited, (HODA) the greater part investor of Unicredit Ghana Limited documented a Motion on Notice for Judicial Review to suppress the Notice served by the Bank of Ghana which proclaimed UniCredit wiped out and consequently disavowed its permit to work as a Specialized Deposit-Taking Institution.
