Andreas Christensen was unveiled as a Barcelona player today.
The 26-year-old signed as a free agent with Barcelona after leaving Chelsea.
The Danish international has agreed to terms with Barcelona on a four-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2026.
Christensen, who did not play for Chelsea in the final few games of last season, has stated that his move to Barcelona was a childhood dream realized.
I'm very proud of myself, he said.
"When I was eight years old, I scribbled on a piece of paper my future ambitions: to be a professional footballer and play for Barcelona.
I'd like to express my gratitude to the President, Jordi Cruyff, and Mateu Alemany for making this possible.
Xavi has not requested anything special from me. I'm here because of who I am as a player, and I believe I would fit in well with Barcelona's style. I don't have to change; although I'm getting better every day, I'm not the biggest or strongest, so it'll be important for me to use my head well to play here at Barca; from what I've heard, this will be very beneficial.
Christensen then advised Chelsea's Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso to leave Stamford Bridge for Camp Nou.
He explained: I spoke with Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta and told them I wanted to play.
