Finance Journalist Toma Imihere is stressed over the standing of the Bank of Ghana (BoG) after its choice to deny the permit of uniCredit Ghana Limited was upset by the Court of Appeal on Thursday, July 7, 2022.
"It is a mark on the Bank of Ghana's validity since it implies they didn't take on fair treatment," he told Umaru Amadu Sanda on Eyewitness News.
uniCredit was among the 23 ruined reserve funds and credits organizations and money houses that had their licenses denied in 2019.
Mr. Imihere has doubts that uniCredit will have the assets to use the court's choice to continue its monetary administrations.
"We are an in absolutely strange area. At this stage, I don't figure monetary examiners can anticipate what will come straightaway. This is even more a legitimate tussle about fair treatment."
Additionally talking on Eyewitness News, Kwasi Adu Mantey, the legal counselor for, Hoda Holdings Limited, the mother organization of UniCredit, noticed that taking the Bank of Ghana on after judgment would challenge.
"In a managed industry, prosecuting Bank of Ghana is certainly not something straightforward in light of the fact that the Bank of Ghana has a ton of ability to do a ton of things," Mr. Mantey said.
"So it would rely upon precisely exact thing uniCredit would believe that Bank of Ghana should accomplish for them now and in the event that Bank of Ghana won't do as such, they will feel free to do anything they need to do," the legal advisor added.
Hoda Holdings Limited previously tried and, tragically, failed to prevent the Bank of Ghana from disavowing its permit.
In 2020, a High Court excused a Judicial Review application recorded by Hoda Holding testing the disavowal.
HODA Holdings in the long run made progress when it continued to the Court of Appeal, coming full circle in the decision on Thursday.
