The founder of the All People's Congress (APC), Dr. Hassan Ayariga has pointed out that the government's decision to return Ghana to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is an indication that both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National. The Democratic Congress (NDC) has nothing to offer the people of Ghana.

Despite the ongoing announcement that the NPP government would not seek help from the IMF, President Akufo-Addo last Friday instructed Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to begin negotiating with the fund to rescue it amidst economic challenges.

Speaking at a press conference today, Thursday, July 7, 2022, Drs. Hassan Ayariga has criticized the ruling government, insisting it has failed citizens.

According to him, going to the IMF is proof that the two major political parties will not be able to help the country.

“The recession in Ghana started before the arrival of Covid-19 and the IMF and World Bank emphasized this in their report. Ghana's rapid trip to the IMF is in line with the fact that the NPP and the NDC have nothing to offer our beloved country Ghana, "the APC leader told reporters at a press conference.

He further added that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had failed to deliver on his promises to the people of Ghana due to the over-indebtedness of his government which had left the country with unprecedented debt.

"President Nana Addo has failed to turn her campaign promises into reality due to over-indebtedness in line with the fact that the current administration has failed to focus on the All People's Congress (APC) price control system that it has promoted over time. - until the 2020 elections and the same is taken from its Manifesto, ”added Dr. Ayariga.

He suggested that the government open up the economic challenges the country faces and from time to time continue to engage with the public.

He is of the opinion that it will make everyone in Ghana enjoy the hardships and buy government programs or changes in policy guidelines.
