The pundit evaluated the top six Premier League clubs' summer transfer activity on Friday.

On Sportskeeda, Merson asserts that Spurs have enjoyed a "really good transfer window" thus far.

He was particularly complimentary of Bissouma and Ivan Perisic.

Merson wrote, "Yves Bissouma is an amazing signing for them."

He controlled the Brighton midfield, but they weren't nearly as reliable as Spurs, in my opinion.

Merson acknowledged that he wasn't "all that sure" about Richarlison.

He did admit, though, that the Brazilian international "ticks a box" for Tottenham in terms of strength in depth.

Djed Spence, a current Middlesbrough player, is also said to be "a terrific signing," according to Merson.

He did, however, opine that the former loanee from Nottingham Forest would face a significant challenge in the Premier League.

In conclusion, Merson said, "I think Tottenham have done a tremendous job so far, and I'm worried they're in for a good season.

Midway through June, Tottenham reportedly paid Brighton an initial £25 million to bring Bissouma to the club.

This might increase to £35m if performance-related add-ons are included.

After a successful four-year run with the Seagulls that started in 2018, Bissouma joined Spurs.

For Graham Potter's team, the Mali international made 124 appearances.

With only one year left on his Brighton deal, he left for Spurs.

Report: Arsenal is still planning to sell at least six players to pay for another high-profile acquisition for Arteta. Ian Wright and Martinelli were impressed by the same player during training.

Spurs have reportedly given up on trying to sign Djed Spence in time for their preseason trip to South Korea.

Deal is official: The player Romano believes Arsenal were "a step" away from signing is on the verge of joining London rivals.
