A Youngster from Atletico Madrid has been signed by Real Madrid, as the teenager confirmed the transfer on social media
Jesus Fortea, a young player for Atletico Madrid, has been signed by Real Madrid. The teen confirmed the move on social media.
According to MARCA, talented youngster Jesus Fortea from Spain has joined Atletico Madrid's regional rivals Real Madrid. The youthful right-back posted on his social media pages to confirm the transfer.
Fortea began his career at the Levante academy before transferring to the development program of Atletico Madrid in 2019. The 15-year-old, a right-back by trade, is regarded as one of the nation's most brilliant young players and can also play higher up the flank.
Fortea, however, announced that he would not be extending his contract with Atletico Madrid after it expired at the end of the previous month. Towards the end of June, a transfer to Real Madrid was being discussed.
The young defender's transfer to Real Madrid has now been finalized. To announce the news, the teenager shared a photo of himself wearing a Real Madrid jersey on Instagram with the caption: "Very happy with this new challenge. Hello, Real Madrid!
Real Madrid's youth program has been strengthened because club president Florentino Perez wants to develop the club's future stars from within. The Merengues have signed various agreements to that goal as several top talents from within Spain and outside in recent transfer windows.
This summer has been no exception, with the Spanish capital team also nearing agreements to sign Carlos Sanchez and David Ruiz and recently concluding the acquisition of Erik Vazquez.
Now that Fortea has finished his transfer from Atletico Madrid to Real Madrid, it appears that the two clubs' non-aggression pact regarding transfers has been broken. Upon arriving to Real Madrid, the 15-year-old is anticipated to join Fran Beltran's Juvenil B team, however Juvenil A boss Alvaro Arbeloa will be closely monitoring his progress.
According to rumours, up to seven young Atletico Madrid players have been offered to the defending La Liga champions as part of Fortea's proposal, which might allow players to switch teams.
