Dembele accepts the terms of Barcelona, but must wait for Alemany's decision

According to reports, Ousmane Dembele and Barcelona have reached an agreement on a new two-year contract. He must now wait to see if Mateu Alemany approves of the extension.

The Frenchman, whose agent was seen earlier today at Inter, is reportedly close to extending his stay at Barcelona after finally reaching an agreement.

Barcelona now appears to be delaying the Frenchman's decision on whether to proceed with the renewal.

It's unclear whether Barca is holding off until the second financial lever is pulled or perhaps until Raphinha's situation is resolved.

According to reports, Dembele's new deal calls for a 40 percent wage drop and a compensation comparable to that of  Ansu Fati if all goes ahead.

According to RMC Sport, Mateu Alemany will now decide whether or not Dembele continues at Barcelona.

The sports director previously discussed Dembele and found it difficult to conceal his displeasure with the forward.

Dembele and his agents are the only ones who are aware of his future, he claimed. "I have an opinion about this, but it's irrelevant. The same as in the previous six or seven months, there is news right now.

Even though the 25-year-old has been a free agent for a week, it is still unknown where he will play football in the upcoming season.

Several reports in Spain claim Barcelona and Ousmane Dembele are close to reaching an agreement. The Frenchman is anticipated to sign a new agreement with the club and is expected to gain momentum at Camp Nou for the foreseeable future.

The attacker, who was initially holding out for a sizable wage but is now willing to accept a two-year deal where much of the worth will be depending on variables, reportedly takes a significant pay drop under Barcelona's proposed agreement.

Relevo just provided a thorough analysis of Barcelona's proposed Dembele contract. A compensation drop of up to 40% appears to be part of the agreement, which is significant, especially in light of the Frenchman's earlier this year's high salary demands.
