The founder and general overseer of Living Grace Ministries International, Bishop Dr. Richard Owusu Akyeaw, has pleaded with young people to work hard and adopt the right methods to amass money.
He cautioned them against acting hastily or using questionable methods to get wealthy over night because this strategy has been the blame for the early deaths of young people.
The counsel was given by Dr. Akyeaw when he was speaking at a youth-focused guidance conference on the topic "The Youth-Our Future" in Sunyani, which was organised by many youth-interest organisations, including the Sunyani Youth Development Association.
According to him, "life is a process" that one must go through gradually in order to succeed, and in that regard, riches obtained may be enjoyed calmly until the very end to serve the community. He cautioned the youth to be resolute and focused with a great degree of socially acceptable ethics as guiding principles rather than being preoccupied with money, flashy clothing, and riding in luxury vehicles.
He stressed that if you sought to get money without suffering, the outcome would be untimely death. However, many of today's young had failed to embrace the idea that there is no gain or success without pain.
In giving a brief account of his life, Bishop Dr. Akyeaw stated that while things were not always ideal for him in his youth and early years, he continued on in order to accomplish the goal he had set for himself in accordance with God's purpose.
He made the implication that just because one was born into a low-income family did not indicate they would always be that way since "God has a magnificent future and purpose for every individual."
Dr. Akyeaw advised the young people not to lose up on life by choosing quick-rich schemes since everyone eventually passes away and leaves behind all of the money they have accumulated on earth.
He emphasised that the kids must put in more effort right away, whether they are students or apprentices, and that with prayer and perseverance in their goals, they would succeed in realising their dreams of being successful future leaders.
