FLOODING WAHALA. GHANA'S NEVER ENDING DEBATE.

Whenever the rainy season rolls in, one has to run and hide. Why? Periodical flooding and it's chaos also sets in. Whose fault I it one may ask... Citizens or the leaders? Truth be told, we are all guilty as charged. Flooding comes as a result of poor drainage system and building on water ways. Flooding comes as a result of dumping solid refuse into drainage system. This act causes the gutters to overflow into our rooms bringing not only floods, but diseases and other ailments as well. This is something Ghana fights with on a daily basis. There should be a law passed to ensure the drainage systems are kept clean, a law passed to make sure buildings are not erected on water ways... But guess what? Bribing and corruption says "get out of the way Constitution." Quite problematic right? If we are able to put aside the illegal love for money, I believe Ghana would be far advanced than the developed countries. If we as citizens are able to desist from dumping solid waste into the drainage systems, it would bring about a drastic change. If the leaders are able to put their feet down and pull their heads out of their pockets, Ghana would become a super nation. But one can only wonder right? One can only wish. Until we stop all these acts, on a periodical basis, we would lament and grieve over lost souls and properties. On a periodical basis, we would bombard and bash the political leaders turn around in a blink of an eye and partake in the same habits that brings destruction to our own selfs. We must force to desist from dumping refuse in our gutters. Compare our drainage system to even Togo's, is it not a disgrace? But we still don't change Ghana needs saving but who is our Messiah?
