WHICH LIVERPOOL FORWARD WILL SCORE THE MOST GOALS THIS SEASON, IN YOUR OPINION?

Who do you think will be Liverpool's leading goal scorer by the end of the upcoming season? was a question posed by a viewer during today's live stream of "The Room Podcast." The arrival of record signing Darwin Nunez makes it more difficult to defeat Mohamed Salah than in prior years.

In light of this, I'll try to list Liverpool's top scores for the 2022–23 season—attackers alone, of course!

Harvey Elliott (no. 7)

Harvey Elliott surprised many by starting and excelling in Liverpool's three-man midfield early in the previous season. The 19-year-development old's was stalled by a terrible ankle injury, but I anticipate him to make a strong comeback this season, perhaps even playing some right flank.

Elliott will have a strong season, but I don't think his job will allow him to outperform the other players on the list.

Sixth Robert Firmino

Roberto Firmino

The Serie A powerhouse Juventus is reportedly interested in Roberto Firmino right now, but I fully anticipate the Brazilian to stay and sign a new contract with Liverpool.

Firmino struggled to string together a run of appearances last season after dealing with a few injuries, but he still managed to keep up a terrific minutes-per-goal ratio and scored a hat trick at Vicarage Road.

Due to stiff competition up front and his outstanding ability to drop deep, I believe that the number "9" may find himself playing a deeper role this season. finding it difficult to achieve as many targets as in earlier campaigns.

Five. Fabio Carvalho

Fabio Carvalho

I have great hopes for the Portuguese playmaker to make an immediate impact at Liverpool. Fabio Carvalho was selected for the EFL Championship Team of the Year, demonstrating his ability to perform at a high level.

Carvalho should play a lot of minutes and have a great performance because of his exceptional ability to play multiple places and responsibilities in both attack and midfield (learn more about it here).

Last season, the 19-year-old showed a decisive finishing touch, which is why I believe he will outscore Firmino.

Luis Diaz 4

Simply said, Luis Diaz is a wonderful outlet because he plays football with electrifying energy. Diaz offers so much more than just goals; he is a superb ball-progressor, creator, and attractive to look at.

The Colombian still needs to advance, in my opinion, before he surpasses the other players on the list in terms of scoring, but that does not imply that he is a worse player altogether. The box office is him.

Diogo Jota 3

Diogo Jota Everton

Diogo Jota really blossomed last season in terms of goal contributions and performance, making an incredible 55 appearances while scoring 21 goals and dishing out 8 assists.

It will get harder and harder to outscore the final two Liverpool attackers because Diogo is so adaptable to any role in the front three. He is also prone to being rotated and moved around.

Darwin Nunez two

Jurgen Klopp felt forced to spend money on Darwin Nunez following the official's sensational Anfield debut in the UEFA Champions League match against Liverpool, even going so far as to remark that "we all fell in love" with the player.

Given his high price tag, the Uruguayan must play the most of his games at center forward, where I am confident he will put up a strong goal total in his first campaign. Given that, it will be challenging to outscore the player who, in my opinion, will be Liverpool's leading scorer in the upcoming season.

Mohamed Salah as one

Could there possibly be someone else? Mohamed Salah will only want to keep demonstrating his value to Liverpool after becoming the club's highest-paid player. Salah won't be sitting back now that he is getting paid more, not like he would otherwise, thanks to reportedly included incentives in his contract.

The Egyptian King, who is equally motivated as everyone else, will undoubtedly work tirelessly to defend his title as Liverpool's top scorer as well as the Premier League Golden Boot.

156 goals in 254 games, 63 assists. Mohamed Salah is almost certain to become known as the "God of Liverpool."
