Man United Vs Liverpool: Preview, Kickoff Time, Team News and Head-to-head Record

As Erik ten Hag makes his managing debut, the preseason game between Manchester United and Liverpool on Tuesday has real stakes. Despite the fact that it is a friendly, Ten Hag will want to avoid losing his first game since taking the position, especially against Liverpool.

As Ten Hag and Jurgen Klopp begin preparing their teams for the new season, Tyrell Malacia, Darwin Nunez, and Fabio Carvalho should make their debuts.

Date, location, and start time:

On Tuesday, July 12, 2022, the match between Manchester United and Liverpool is scheduled to start at 2pm BST.

Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok will host the game.

group news

Ronaldo is not included in the 31-man team that United has chosen for its preseason tour of Thailand and Australia.

Liverpool is taking 37 players, including its recent £80 million acquisition Darwin Nunez, to Thailand and Singapore.

Fabio Carvalho might also be involved because another newcomer, Calvin Ramsay, is hurt. There will still be a lot of effort from those aiming to create a positive impression even though the games between these two clubs won't be as fierce as usual.

Erik ten Hag is attempting to impart his views on his players despite having only been in the position for a little over a month and with preseason only getting underway, and Jurgen Klopp won't pass up the opportunity to teach United yet another lesson.

Comparative record

Wins for Manchester United: 89

Draws: 68

Win for Liverpool: 80

Liverpool boss Klopp: Parade was incredible; it was right to hold it

The decision to hold their parade following their loss in the Champions League final, according to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, was the right one.

The procession through Liverpool that was organized following the conclusion of the season to commemorate the Carabao Cup and FA Cup victories, according to Klopp, has inspired the entire team to relive those feelings.

From Thailand, he said: "[The procession] was amazing in every way. Jordan Henderson's character Hendo mentioned it later, and I believe we all agreed that it was one of the best days of our life for various reasons. Of course, it was the environment, but it was also about demonstrating respect for the work that everyone had done together in previous years. Not just the previous year, but also the years before since we weren't able to celebrate appropriately and other things of the kind.

"It was an exceptional experience in every way. People recently told me how their season ended with the Champions League final, and while I understand that, for our squad, the parade stands out as [the last memory of the season].

"It's hard for me to put into words how unique this is or how many people are experiencing it as we are, but it makes you want to have this [experience] over and over again. We will make every effort to organize a parade the following season."
