Arsenal Links To Chelsea Star Rubbished
Links between Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante have today been rubbished by Fabrizio Romano. Links emerged on Saturday claiming Arsenal were considering a move for the Frenchman. Kante's contract runs out in 12 months and Arsenal are ready to sound out Chelsea. However, the reliable Fabrizio Romano took to Twitter today to quash the rumours. "Arsenal have not submitted any proposal for Lille winger Edon Zhegrova" Zhegrova is a Kosovan winger who has been linked with a move to the Emirates. "And there are no negotiations ongoing to sign N'Golo Kante from Chelsea, as things stand." Reactions from Arsenal fans were mixed. Some, were relieved. Arsenal have a recent history of signing Chelsea players past their best. David Luiz, Petr Cech and Willian all arrived from Chelsea and didn't enjoy the best of times. Cech and Luiz, in their defence, had good moments. Luiz in particular played a key part in Arsenal's 2020 FA Cup winning run. However, with Kante's high wages and recent injury troubles, many Arsenal fans were glad to not be taking the risk. Others, were disappointed. Kante is an extremely talented player despite his recent issues. Many would've been excited to see his impact on the Arsenal midfield. Despite Kante not being on Arsenal's list this summer, they are far from finished in the window.
