FC Barcelona, a Catalan club, has found itself in a difficult financial situation and is in need of funds to continue their rebuilding process under new manager Xavi Hernandez.
Xavi Hernandez has added two new players to his squad, but his summer transfer business is far from over. The former Barcelona player is eager to bring high-profile striker Robert Lewandowski to Camp Nou.
Barcelona, according to reports, will not relent in their pursuit of the experienced striker. The Spanish club has made several bids for the player's services, but none have been deemed sufficient by the German Champions.
Their third offer for the player was a fixed sum of €40 million plus potential add-ons, but Bayern Munich wants more, which could push the price up to €50 million.
In the midst of all of this, Robert Lewandowski remains a Bayern Munich player, but it is widely assumed that the Polish striker is willing to leave this summer, having openly declared his desire to do so.
Lewandowski is sick of winning home games and wants to move to Spain to play for FC Barcelona and win the Ballon d'Or. Barcelona, on the other hand, is doing their best, but it appears that the Bayern Munich board is asking too much.
The Poland striker has made it clear to the club's board that he wants to leave and is even willing to pay a portion of what Barcelona is offering to Bayern Munich in order to move to Spain and join Barcelona.
Lewandowski is arguably the best striker we have in the game right now, and because age is not on his side, he wishes to join another team.
