After Chelsea's interest, Aymeric Laporte wants Manchester City to stay.
Despite Chelsea's interest, Aymeric Laporte claims he has no plans to leave Manchester City.
The 28-year-old, who has just won his fourth Premier League championship with City, has developed a strong defensive connection with Ruben Dias.
Laporte and his City teammate Nathan Ake are on Chelsea's radar as they search for two new central defenders this summer.
The Spanish international, though, claims to be "supper happy" at City.
For both the club and for myself, it's a great thing, Laporte told RMC Sport.
"I'm glad to bring the Premier League trophy here and help the locals as well." It had never occurred before. Despite an injury at the end of the season, I'm quite pleased with this season. I was able to persevere all the way through.
"Yes, I'm staying this season. I'm quite happy and in great shape." also the group. The Champions League is the last remaining shared goal, but we will make every effort to win it this year.
When asked if a return to Ligue 1 was a possibility, Laporte responded, "For now, that's not the goal."
My contract has three more years left on it. The club and I are both satisfied.
"I played a lot of minutes; I was the most-used central defender." I am a reference, so I'm thrilled that Manchester City and the coach trust me. So why not continue forever?
