Now that the summer transfer window is winding down, we are finally seeing top Premier League clubs making purchases. The Premier League is always around the top when talking about overall transfer spending at the end of any transfer window. The English Premier League is known for attracting the top athletes from around the globe.But on this particular day, we're focused on the moves taking place in the Premier League. Raphinha, a winger for Leeds, has this summer also drawn interest from Chelsea and Arsenal. Raheem Sterling, an outstanding player for Manchester City and England, is about to join Chelsea. The Blues are also interested in signing Manchester City's Dutch center-half Nathan Aké. Emmanuel Jesus (from Arsenal to Manchester City)
This summer, Gabriel Jesus transferred from Manchester City to Arsenal for a figure close to £45 million. With the Citizens, the Brazilian striker won four Premier League championships. As the Gunners were in desperate need of a quality striker to lead the line, the 25-year-move old's to the Emirates appears to be among the greatest decisions of the summer. Jesus also falls into the appropriate age range and has previously worked at Manchester City alongside Mikel Arteta.
In the summer of 2013, Lukaku first transferred from Chelsea to Everton on loan. He led Everton to a fifth-place finish that season with 15 league goals. Later, a club record £28 million was paid for a permanent contract with the Belgian striker.
In addition to becoming one of the league's top attackers, Lukaku consistently made the difference for the Toffees. Lukaku was included in the PFA Team of the Year for the 2016–17 campaign. The Belgian goal machine was acquired by Manchester United for £75 million in the summer of 2017.
Berbatov, Dimitar (Spurs to Manchester United)
After moving from Bayern Leverkusen to Spurs, Berbatov had established himself as one of the top scorers in the league. But there were rumors in the summer of 2008 that Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United were interested in the striker.
Berbatov negotiated a £30 million transfer to the Red Devils from Spurs. With more than 140 appearances for Manchester United, the striker also took home two Premier League championships, two League Cups, and three English Super Cups. The 2010–11 Premier League Golden Boot went to him as well.
At Liverpool, Fernando Torres was an entirely different beast.In 141 games with Liverpool, the Spanish striker scored 80 goals and provided 20 assists. However, Torres was the subject of interest from Chelsea, a team from the same era as the Premier League, in the January 2011 transfer window.
Torres submitted a transfer request, but the Reds turned down a £40 million proposal. On the day of the transfer deadline, he did indeed sign a £50 million contract with Chelsea. With only 45 goals in 171 games, the Spanish striker struggled to regain his form while wearing the blue shirt.
Michael Carrick (Spurs to Manchester United)
Prior to joining Spurs, Carrick established himself in the Premier League with West Ham United. But Manchester United was where he had the most success. In addition to five Premier League championships, one Champions League, one Europa League, six English Super Cups, three English League Cups, one FA Cup, and one Club World Cup, the English defensive midfielder joined the team in 2006.
Carrick is still one of the game's most underrated players despite winning almost everything with Manchester United. After retiring, he later accepted the position of assistant manager at the team.
Sterling, Raheem (Liverpool to Manchester City)
With Liverpool, Sterling had success in the Premier League. On March 24, 2012, he faced Wigan Athletic in his league debut. With Luis Suarez, the English winger created a potent attacking duo. After making 129 appearances for the Reds, he left them in the summer of 2015 to sign with Manchester City for a figure close to £44 million.
