TWO young members of Manchester United have earned spots in Erik ten Hag's squad for their preseason trip.

The Red Devils play Liverpool on Tuesday in Thailand before three games against Melbourne Victory, Crystal Palace, and Aston Villa in Australia.

Prior to their final preseason match against Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford on July 31, they play Atletico Madrid in Norway.

Iqbal is also a member of United's preseason roster.

Savage earned a spot on Ten Hag's initial preseason roster.

The 28-man crew for the Thailand part of the trip will also include two people who are in the main group and have any hopes of starting a successful career.

One player given a chance by the new coach Ten Hag is Charlie Savage, 19, the son of former Wales international Robbie Savage.

The 19-year-old Zidane Iqbal will also travel with the rest of the United team.

Ten Hag was astounded by the pair's ability, according to The Mirror.

Both Savage and Iqbal debuted last season in a Champions League matchup against Young Boys as replacements.

Robbie Savage, Savage's father, spoke about how hard Savage had worked to advance at Old Trafford following that game.

He stated: "He has been under pressure to perform well. He must put in five to ten percent more effort because he is my child.

"He's had a lot of pundits, and I've heard things like "he's only here because of his father" said about him.

"He hasn't received special therapy; he has received the same treatment as every other young person."

Man United is undergoing a makeover following a successful 2021–2022-season in which they finished sixth in the Premier League.

They are also searching for their most illustrious major victory since Jose Mourinho helped them win the Europa League in 2017.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the only member of the squad for Ten Hag's trip to Thailand who isn't on board.

The Portuguese genius recently let United's managers know that he wanted to leave the team.
