According to Gol, Bayern Munich has raised their asking price for Robert Lewandowski to a staggering €70 million.
Lewandowski's transfer to Camp Nou is now the subject of negotiations between Barcelona and Bayern.
Bayern has already turned down two bids from the Blaugrana, the first for $32 million and the second for $40 million.
This past week, it was widely rumoured that Barcelona was preparing a fresh offer of around €50 million, which most analysts feel will be sufficient for Bayern to accept.
Gol, however, assert this past weekend that Bayern are now prepared to raise their asking price even higher, to a minimum of at least €70 million.
Before the Catalan team reaches that number, they are not even willing to sit at the same table as Barcelona.
Lewandowski has been identified by Barcelona as their top transfer target for the summer, and the club and the former Borussia Dortmund star have been in negotiations since March.
Lewandowski, whose contract with Bayern Munich expires in 2023, is eager to move to Camp Nou because he wants to take on one last challenge with a big club before his career comes to an end.
The 33-year-old and Barcelona have already agreed on personal terms, but the transfer money is proving to be a problem.
Bayern was reportedly desperate to keep Lewandowski for the upcoming season but are now prepared to lose him.
Sadio Mane, who they have acquired from Liverpool, won't serve as a direct substitute for Lewandowski.
Lewandowski played with Bayern for eight years during which time he scored 344 goals in 375 appearances.
He has won the Champions League and the Bundesliga eight times in a row.
