Chelsea was able to complete their first summer acquisition after coming to terms with Manchester City over a cost of 45 million British pounds. Sterling has made a name for himself as one of the top forwards in the Premier League during the past three to seven seasons.
He played a crucial role in Manchester City's four Premier League titles. Even the finest defenders struggle to stop him due to his incredible talent and quickness. He chose to sign with The Blues in the hopes that Thomas Tuchel will offer him a berth in the starting eleven because he was not receiving any playing time with the Cityzens.
It's probable that some players will see reduced playing time as a result of Chelsea's acquisition of Raheem Sterling. One of the players that might end up warming the bench if Sterling arrives is Christian Pulisic.
Pulisic has established himself as one of the top wingers for the Blues over the previous two years. He was one of the key players who contributed significantly to the team's Champions League title the season before.
However, he struggled to get going again the season before, which is one of the reasons Tuchel made the decision to consider other possibilities.
Sterling has established a more successful track record than Christian Pulisic. In his time with Manchester City, the former winger scored 150 goals in total, 88 of which came from playing in the Premier League and 24 from competing in the Champions League.
He has more professional playing experience than Christian Pulisic and is more seasoned in the Premier League. Sterling and Pulisic could not be more dissimilar from one another in terms of their individual skill sets. It will probably be challenging for Christian Pulisic to gain more playing time throughout the upcoming season after Sterling joined the team.
This development raises the possibility that Christian Pulisic will start the 2017 season as Rahim Sterling's backup.
