Former Real Madrid striker Emmanuel Adebayo has weighed in on the Ronaldo vs. Messi debate, confirming that Ronaldo is 250 percent superior.

Messi vs. Ronaldo: Emmanuel Adebayor explains why Ronaldo will always be superior to Messi.

When asked in an interview who was better, he said Cristiano Ronaldo was because of his drive to improve and his attitude toward training.

"I like the mentality of this player [Cristiano Ronaldo] a lot," the Togolese international said. Not only do we like the way he plays, but we all do. But it's his drive to succeed that draws me in.

He works out before the workouts. The session comes next. He then continues to train. He also works out after games. He also trains on his days off.

Do I believe Ronaldo is superior to Leo Messi? Yes, absolutely.

"The coolest partner is just that, CR7, Cristiano Ronaldo," he continued. You see Cristiano Ronaldo in games. And I was able to observe him in his daily training work. He is unimaginable.

He only shows 3-5 percent of what he is capable of doing in practice. He simply mocked us during training. It's similar to playing with my daughter. And I'm not making this up. It truly is. He can turn on and score 7 goals while losing a two-way game with any score.

Last season, Messi struggled to adjust to life with Paris Saint-Germain, scoring only six league goals.

He did, however, receive a Ligue 1 champions medal, and he and Argentina won Finalissima in June.

Ronaldo, on the other hand, returned to Manchester United and scored 24 goals in all competitions.

However, United finished the Premier League with their lowest-ever total of 58 points and missed out on the Champions League.

As a result, Ronaldo requested this summer to leave Old Trafford if a acceptable offer is made in the coming weeks.

Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor (born 26 February 1984) is a Togolese professional footballer who plays as a striker for Togolese Championnat National team Semassi.

He has also previously played for Real Madrid in Spain, Istanbul Başakşehir and Kayserispor in Turkey, Club Olimpia in Paraguay, and Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and Crystal Palace in England.

He became the most recognizable player in Paraguayan football and the highest-paid player in the country's history when he joined Olimpia Asunción in 2020. While playing for Arsenal, he was named African Footballer of the Year in 2008.

Adebayor represented Togo at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, the country's first and only World Cup appearance. Adebayor left the Togo national team in January 2010 after being on a bus that was shot at while traveling to the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola.

He returned to the Togo team in 2013 for the African Cup of Nations in South Africa, where he helped them reach the quarterfinals. He now holds the record for most goals scored in Togo, with 32.

Messi vs. Ronaldo

Long after the footballers have retired, the debate between Lionel Messi and Cristiano over who is the greatest player of all time (GOAT) may never be resolved.
