COOL TIPS FOR CLEANING YOUR KITCHEN CABINETS PART 1

featured img

Whether you're a master chef or someone who occasionally pours cereal into a bowl, your kitchen cabinets will wear out if they're not cared for regularly. Dust and food spills gather in the most unexpected places, forming a layer of dirt over time. But keeping your kitchen bright is easy if you give your cabinets a little love.

First, choose an exterior cleaner based on the finish of your cabinet. For one, mild dish soap with warm water works on most cabinet surfaces, including metal, plastic laminate, painted wood, and vinyl, according to The Spruce.Additionally, This Old House recommends adding a dash of vinegar to the solution to kill bacteria. And if you have wood cabinets, buff them with an oil soap and clean them with the wood grain (via Better Homes and Gardens). So, without further ado, here are 15 great tips for cleaning

 your kitchen cabinets.

 1. Start high, go low

Whether you simply dust or give your kitchen cabinets a thorough scrubbing, always start at the top and work your way down so you don't have to clean anything.Be sure to close all drawers and cabinets beforehand so dirt doesn't fall in when you leave. When everything is closed, start at the top of the closet and work your way down.

If your cabinet tops are exposed, One Good Thing has the perfect trick for you: cover the top with wax paper and when it gets dirty, carefully remove and replace with a new piece.

 2. Dusting regularly to make deep cleaning easier

Some experts recommend flushing closets weekly, but let's face it.Soaping the entire kitchen from top to bottom is simply out of the question for many of us. If you can't manage to scrub your closets weekly, try dusting them once a week.

Before cleaning your countertops, wipe the cabinet surfaces with a dry cloth, paying particular attention to crevices where dust collects. To get the most out of a single cloth, Today recommends folding it in half twice and then turning or unfolding it after each section collects dust.
