On Sunday, the Chiefs and People of Akwamuman celebrated the "Kitawonsa Akwasidae Kese" celebration at the Bogyawe palace in Akwamufie, with the participation of Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh.

Dr. Prempeh, who served as the event's guest of honour, expressed his excitement at being a part of the celebration because traditional festivals serve as a hub for homecoming and bring together residents of the relevant traditional area.

Given the contemporary demands of urbanisation, intermarriage, and other factors, he claimed that many people from different traditional areas rely on festivals to reconnect with their roots, gather with their extended families, settle any unresolved family disputes, and brainstorm ways to support their community's development agenda.

The festival's theme is "Let us unite and construct Akwamuman," according to the Minister, who is also Manhyia South's Member of Parliament. was an unmistakable illustration of the emphasis put on cooperation and a feeling of purpose among people who have a common past. "Peace cannot exist in the absence of unity. Peace is a prerequisite for growth.

I applaud you for choosing this topic, and I'm sure it will capture all you do in your efforts to create a unified, peaceful, and prosperous Akwamuman," he remarked.

"Akwamuman has a rich past, with men like Nana Ansa Saskraku and Asomaning among many others, who contributed greatly to making Akwamuman a power to be reckoned with centuries ago," the speaker added.

The driving force behind your resolve to unite and develop Akwamuman in every way must be that shared sense of national pride.

Dr. Prempeh emphasised the need for people to connect with one another in order to create a Ghana that is healthy, successful, and peaceful and that is prepared to meet the possibilities and challenges of the twenty-first century. We must keep focusing on our strengths as a nation because there is far more that unites us than what separates us, he continued.
