Liverpool and several English Premier league clubs are reportedly interested in signing Ghana target, Nico Williams.
Ghana Target Nico Williams is reportedly been tracked by some English Premier League clubs. Paramount of them are Manchester giants, Manchester United and Anfield based club Liverpool.
Reports cited by tabloids such as indicates that the 19-year-old is gradually gaining recognition after featuring in the Athletico Bilbao B side, scoring 9 goals and 12 assists in the 2020/2021 campaign, an impressive statistics which ignited his senior team call up for Athletico Bilbao against Real Valladolid in July 2021.
His impressive performance in the just ended 2020/2021 football season warranted him a consistent playtime, featuring in most of the Spanish La Liga matches as a substitute.
According to an exclusive report from Spanish tabloid, fichages.net, there are many English Premier League clubs that have expressed interest in getting the signature of the young talented player in the just opened transfer window ahead of the 2022/2023 football season.
The report however confirms that, Liverpool are currently the front runners for Nico Williams' signature and will have to trigger his release clause with £42 million.
Nico Williams' elder brother, Inaki Williams recently made an announcement on his twitter handle over a switch in nationality to defend the Black Stars T-shirt. Football enthusiast are however optimistic of a his junior brother's announcement as well but family of the young champion however wants him to reflect before making a decision.
Nico Williams and Inaki Williams were recently in the country for their holidays and per social media posts, they really had a great time with family and Ghanaians hoping the latter will also switch nationality to play for Ghana.
The Ghana Football Association and it's officials have intensified conversations with Ghanaian players plying their football trade abroad to switch nationality or join the Black Stars ahead of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar this November. Ghana has been grouped with Uruguay, Portugal and South Korea.
