A 26-year-old Nigerian, Aloysius Onyekwe, purportedly discharged 47 bundles of cocaine subsequent to being captured by National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) officials.
Mr. Onyekwe was captured in Ibadan, following a knowledge report shared by the State Security Service (SSS).
NDLEA Media and Advocacy Director Femi Babafemi expressed this in an explanation on Sunday in Abuja.
Babafemi said the supposed medication dealer's frantic endeavor to head out by street to Algeria through Sokoto state with 47 packs of cocaine ingested in his stomach was thwarted by NDLEA work force.
He said that Mr. Onyekwe, who came from Owerri West LGA, Imo State, was captured on July 3 in Ojoo Park, Ibadan, where he was boarding a vehicle on the way from Sokoto to Algeria.
As per Babafemi, the suspect went with a 18-year-elderly person, Blessing Nwoke.
"The dad of a 10-month-old kid passed out each of the 47 cocaine pills in five discharges.
"He admitted that he began his excursion to Algeria from the Cele de Okota region, Lagos, where he ingested the unlawful medication, weighing 1.1 kg," he said.
Likewise in Oyo state, no less than 1,900 225mg tramadol tablets were seized from a street pharmacist, 22-year-old Mustapha Ijabula, who came from the Mubi area of Adamawa.
Babafemi said Ijabula, who was captured in a business vehicle destined for Yola, Adamawa, halted for a standard hunt on the Lagos-Ibadan turnpike.
"In Akwa Ibom express, a cross-line dealer, Fonkou Dassi, 31, was captured on Friday with 6,000 225mg tramadol tablets weighing 3kg by officials from the organization's Marine Unit.
