Deputy Captain of the Black Stars of Ghana and Arsenal Midfielder, Thomas Teye Partey Reports To Arsenal Training Grounds After Alleged Rape Case
Ghana black stars assistant captain and gunners midfielder, Thomas Teye Partey has been spotted at the Colney on Monday morning after several days of speculations and guesswork over allegations of sexual misconduct by his girlfriend.
The 28-year-old midfielder was seen at the club's training grounds on Monday morning ahead of a planned pre-season travel to the United States of America after being absent from the team's Germany pre-season games.
Arsenal midfielder missed out on Arsenal's pre-season tour to Germany last week after news went viral of allegedly raping his girlfriend which ended the budding young talent in Police custody and court.
According to the United Kingdom media reports, Thomas Partey was reported to the Police by his girlfriend for assault and rape but has been cleared of all the charges and wrongdoing due to insufficient and insignificant evidence or proofs to further press charges against him.
However, Partey's camp has reiterated that the lady only wanted to embarrass and soil the Ghanaian midfielder's name and did that out of bitterness and hatred as her dream to become the wife of the Arsenal star hit the rocks and didn't materialize.
Thomas Partey was however cleared by the UK Police after the lady failed to submit evidence to support the allegations.
The Ghanaian midfielder is expected to join his teammates in the United States of America later this week as the club continues to prepare ahead of the 2022/2023 English premier league season.
Thomas Partey scored the deciding goal for the Ghana black stars in Abuja against Nigeria in the 2022 World Cup playoffs, qualifying the team for the World's biggest football tournament in Qatar in November this year.
