At a Traditional Council meeting held recently in Yamorans, the Acting President of the Nkusukum Traditional Council, Nana Beenyi III, who is also the Obaatan of the Nkusukum Traditional Area, presented a letter signed by the Registrar of the Central Regional House of Chiefs on behalf of the Speaker of the House, Odeefo Amoakwa Buadu VIII, which doubles the role of Breman Asikumanhene.

A copy of the letter addressed by Nana Kwesi Brebo to Chief Kuntu and the Nkusukum Traditional Council reads: “I am directed by Odeefo Amoakwa Buadu VIII Breman Asikumanhene and the President of the Central Regional House of Chiefs to bring to your attention the decision of the House Standing Committee held on 12/04/2021.

“The Standing Committee has unanimously decided that due to your persistent interference in court cases and your uncooperative attitude that inhabits peace and prolonging litigation in the Nkusukum Traditional Area, your services as the Acting President of the Nkusukum Traditional Council shall be terminated with immediate effect. effect.

“The traditional council is requested to present a new acting president to fill this vacancy in the Central Regional House of Chiefs.

According to Nana Beenyi III, according to the above letter, Nana Kwesi Brebo cannot consider himself as the acting president of the Nkusukum Traditional Council.

“In our traditional arrangement, if there is no Omanhene to preside over the meetings of the Traditional Council, the Obaatan, who is the Senior Divisional Chief, is mandated to act as President to conduct the affairs of the Council meetings until a substantive Omanhene is installed. a memorial there ever since.

"In the current form of I Nana Beenyi III, the Obaatan of the Nkusukum Traditional Area has assumed full responsibility as the Acting President of the Nkusukum Traditional Council. Any further remarks or comments from outsiders are erroneous," he said.

Nana Beenyi III urges Nkusukum residents at home and aboard that this year's "Odaambea" festival will be celebrated in Yamoransa, the seat of the Nkusukum traditional area.

He urged the contractor working on the city roads in Yamorans to expedite the project.
