Sergio Busquets to consider MLS move in 2022 after illustrious Barca career

Sergio Busquets is receiving offers from several clubs in the MLS for 2023. The midfielder will be staying at Barcelona for the coming season. However, his future remains uncertain given that his deal runs out next year as well. The Spain international is 33 years old, and will be hopeful of making the national team later this year for the World Cup. As a result, after the competition in Qatar is over, there are solid chances that he would like to try an experience away from Barcelona, the only club that the La Masia graduate has ever played for. Several top talents from Europe have made the switch to America in recent years. Gareth Bale and Lorenzo Insigne became the most prolific players to join MLS clubs recently. And if the offer is right, there is a good chance that the veteran might move. The player is a key part of Xavi’s project for the coming season. He remains among the best defensive midfielders in the team despite his age. And with Franck Kessie moving in, his time at Camp Nou might be heading towards an end. At the club and national level, Sergio Busquets has won almost everything there is to win. He has won every trophy available for Barcelona, and has also been very successful for Spain. As a result, he could be on the move for a brand new challenge if the right proposal arrives.
