Top 10 Footballers From Poor Families

Football is the most democratic sport; anyone can participate. Life can be unfair at times; someone is born into a wealthy family, while another is born into a poor one. People are changing their lives and fighting poverty as a result of football. We've compiled a list of the top ten footballers from low-income families.

10. Raheem Sterling

Raheem was born in Jamaica, but he and his family later moved to England. Raheem's family was impoverished and did not have a permanent address. Sterling, however, was saved by football. Sterling began his football career at the West Ham Academy before moving to Liverpool. Raheem became a star in Liverpool, and after a while he moved to Manchester City. Now the footballer is one of the highest paid players in the league and has no financial problems.

9.Robinho

Robinho was born in a low-income neighborhood of San Vicente. Many young people there love to connect their lives with crime and drugs, and it was only through football that Robinho took a different path. The Robinho family was impoverished, and the footballer suffered from nutritional deficiencies. Robinho struggled with physics because he ate so infrequently. Robinho performed admirably in one of the tournaments, and Pele took notice of him. Her career began to take off after that. Robinho was dubbed "the second Pele," but he never lived up to his full potential. Robinho was gifted, but he was a slacker.

8.Angel Di Maria

Angel Di Maria was born in the Argentine city of Rosario, but his family struggled financially. Parents worked in a coal mine and earned little money. Di Maria, like Robinho, ate poorly, so he was extremely thin.

Angel Di Maria began his football career at Rosario Central before moving to Europe at the age of 19. After receiving his first salary, the footballer bought a new house for his parents and they stopped working hard.

7.Roberto Carlos

Roberto came from a low-income family. Carlos began working at the age of 12 because his family was experiencing financial difficulties. The footballer worked in a factory while also playing football with his coworkers. The city club scouts noticed him and took him to watch one of the matches. Roberto took advantage of his opportunity and went on to become a world football legend. Carlos would have remained a factory worker if it hadn't been for football.

6.Luis Suarez

Luis Suarez was born into a large family with financial difficulties. Louis' father abandoned the family when he was 12 years old, leaving his mother with seven children. Suarez's mother was a cleaner who made very little money. Due to a lack of funds, Suarez frequently played barefoot, as he lacked boots.

But Suarez did not give up and went on to become a professional footballer. Luis is now Uruguay's all-time leading scorer, having won the Golden Boot twice.

5.Carlos Tevez

Tevez had the most difficult upbringing. He was born in a dangerous neighborhood of Buenos Aires. Carlos' mother abandoned the family when he was six months old, and his father was murdered when he was six years old. Carlos, his brother, and sister were orphaned and adopted by their aunt. Aunt also lived in poverty, but she never abandoned her nephews. Tevez had the opportunity to become a gangster, but he chose the better path and became a football player.

4.Brothers Toure – Yaya and Kolo

Football saved South Americans in the 1990s, but it also helped Africans in the 2000s. Africans realized the power of football to combat poverty after George Weah won the Ballon d'Or. Almost every African footballer had a difficult upbringing. Wealthy Africans do not become footballers because they have everything and are not willing to spend all day playing football. The Toure brothers were raised in a poor family with a large number of children. They played barefoot because they lacked football boots. Kolo and YaYa were able to become professional footballers after spending the entire day on the football field. They had a difficult journey, but they did not give up and achieved their goal.

3.Ronaldo

Ronaldo was so talented that Flamengo scouts noticed him at a young age and invited him to watch. The club's academy was on the other side of town, and the family couldn't afford the fare. That's how poor the Ronaldos were. Because the phenomenon was unable to pass screening, he was forced to attend the nearest football school, which was not well-known. Ronaldo walked to training because he only had enough money for food. Cruzeiro signed the football player at the age of 17, and he went on to become a world football legend.

2.Zidane

"I used to cry because I didn't have any shoes to play soccer, but then I met a man who didn't have any feet." This is Zidane's most well-known quote. Zidane's parents are Algerian immigrants. They moved to France in search of a better life, but they lived in abject poverty. Zidane was born in France and grew up on the streets of Marseille. After being accepted into the Caen football academy, his career began. Zinedine's wife played a significant role in his life; it was thanks to her that he was able to end his life on the streets.

1.Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo was born on the island of Madeira. The mother worked in the canteen, and the father was a weed eater. Ronaldo was the family's fourth child, and the parents desired an abortion because it was difficult to support four children. However, the parents decided to abandon the child, and the world received one of the greatest footballers in history. Ronaldo had a difficult childhood, a difficult personality, and was disliked by his peers. Ronaldo, on the other hand, has achieved success as a result of his hard work.
