In Ibiza, a Barcelona striker was detained for "extreme alcohol consumption"

Football players aren't the only ones who think of Ibiza as the world's trendiest summer vacation spot.

This summer, a large number of Barcelona players were seen vacationing in Ibiza. Along with a number of other footballing greats, even the club's main target Robert Lewandowski was sighted there.

During Barcelona's end-of-season break in Ibiza, some noteworthy rumors were circulating in the Barcelona camp, according to the popular Dongcast podcast. It now appears that one of the Barcelona players was embroiled in a controversy for the wrong reasons.

According to Dongcast, a Barcelona attacker was detained at the end of the previous month as a result of "extreme alcohol consumption."

The forward's enthusiasm for high-end automobiles made Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang an apparent suspect. The athlete had to pay a fee to the neighborhood alcohol control board when the alcohol blood test revealed a positive result.

Ferran Torres is another contender in addition to Aubameyang because the Spaniard was seen in Ibiza with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. Memphis Depay, who joined the team last year, is also a suspect.

The Spanish international has a foot issue, and Barca has provided an update.

According to a prepared statement, "Ferran Torres has a cut in his right foot and his availability for training will depend on how the injury heals."

Despite the podcast not revealing the identity of the Barcelona player, host Joan Fontes speculates that it was a forward who had only joined the team the previous season and was detained on June 25 at the Eladio Carrion concert.

The FC Barcelona star returned to the team on Monday morning and underwent his usual physical at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper along with the other players who were given an additional week off to make up for playing for their country at the end of the previous season.
