As the City manager, Pep Guardiola begins pre-season, he was caught off guard while out on a late-night bike ride around Manchester when he was trailed by a shrieking fan who wants a picture with him

Pep Guardiola was stunned while cycling around Manchester and looked less than impressed when an overzealous fan wanting to take a picture interfered with a late-night cycle through Manchester.

A supporter observed the Spaniard cycling in the distance while the manager was out and about in the city center on his bicycle.

Instead of letting Guardiola go about his business, the fan continued to yell after the 51-year-old and then pursued him on his own bike when he didn't react.

When Pep Guardiola was pursued for a photo across Manchester, he was not really impressed.

The overly enthusiastic fan followed the City manager down an alleyway as he rode his bike.

Prior to responding to the fan's calls, Guardiola first followed on his bike

In video uploaded to TikTok, the Manchester City manager can be seen turning into an alleyway near Parsonage Gardens while a supporter yells, "Oi Pep, let me get a picture bro!"

The supporter follows Guardiola down the alleyway and yells, "Oi Pep," as he appears to disregard the request and continue on his way.

The fan yells to the camera, "no, nay you need to see this," while the City boss keeps pedaling.

The fan eventually stops Guardiola at the end of the small passageway, and the Spaniard responds "ok" and agrees to a selfie as the fan begs for a photo once more.

The supporter tries to give the former Barcelona manager a fist bump, but he doesn't seem really impressed before carrying on his journey.

Although the exact time of the recording is unknown, it was posted early on Monday morning.

On Monday, Guardiola's team will reconvene for the start of preseason practice.

They are getting ready to defend their Premier League championship this year and want to put a stop to their Champions League struggles.

On Monday, Guardiola will start getting his City team ready to defend their Premier League championship.

On Sunday, the newly acquired players for Manchester City Stefan Ortega (left), Erling Haaland (center), and Julian Alvarez (right) were introduced.

City spent a lot of money on attacking players during the summer transfer window, including £21 million for Julian Alvarez from River Plate and £51 million for Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.

star of England Kalvin Phillips has also arrived from Leeds in a £45m deal.

Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus will not be present, though, for Guardiola. While Sterling is about to finalize a £50 million transfer to Chelsea, the Brazilian has signed with Arsenal this summer.

Prior to leaving this weekend for a preseason tour of the United States, City are scheduled to spend this week in Manchester.

Across the Atlantic, City will compete in two preseason friendlies against Bayern Munich in Green Bay and Club America of Mexico in Houston.

Prior to their inaugural Premier League match against West Ham on August 7, they play Liverpool in the Community Shield at Leicester's King Power Stadium on July 30.
