Didier Drogba is without a doubt one of the best strikers in Premier League history. During his Chelsea career, he scored 157 goals and was awarded two Golden Boots.
According to one Liverpool fan on Twitter, Drogba is nothing special. The following is what the fan tweeted:
Drogba had 104 goals and 64 assists in 254 games, so looking at his goals per season is, first and foremost, incorrect.
Second, despite not scoring as many goals as someone like Thierry Henry, his contribution to Chelsea and his big-game performances cannot be overstated.
Chelsea fans responded angrily to the disrespect shown to their legend:
Steven Gerrard won 0 league titles in his career and is mentioned alongside Iniesta, Xavi Lampard, Modric Scholes, and others simply because he ran around the pitch headlessly and showed passion?
Drogba slander will never make sense to me; he was world-class and always rose to the occasion," Jake says. He also won two golden boots, four Premier League titles, and was an all-around good player for the team. You couldn't help but notice him playing itsnaav: Man ended a civil war in his country, won two golden boots, and led Chelsea's best attack ever, but an 18-year-old on Twitter who has never seen him play will tell us how good he was.
