Felix Afena-Gyan, a youth from Ghana, has been urged by AS Roma head coach Jose Mourinho to imitate Sadio Mané, a striker from Senegal.

After a breakthrough season last year, the teenage wonder has signed a new long-term contract with AS Roma.

Felix Afena-Gyan revealed that he was advised by AS Roma coach Jose Mourinho to emulate Senegal striker Sadio Mane's playing style. Felix Afena-Gyan was a member of the AS Roma team that won the first Europa Conference League.

After a stellar debut season with the first squad, the 19-year-old striker has been awarded a new long-term contract.

He is really important to me. He means a lot to me in ways I can't fully express. There was a lot of discussion. I should play like Sadio Mane, he advised. Felix Afena-Gyan, who made his debut in November 2021 against Cagliari, had a breakout season with the capital club last year.
