After his second release, former Barcelona defender Dani Alves questioned how the club handled legends like him.

Alves acknowledges that he had to go in order to make room for the younger generation, but he didn't particularly enjoy the manner it was communicated.

The Brazilian full-back joined Barcelona in 2008, left in 2016, and then rejoined last year for a second time.

Because there was a misunderstanding over his contract position at the club, Dani Alves has launched a stinging attack on Barcelona officials.

Alves feels undervalued by the team because he is a club legend. He spent two stints at Barcelona, but the club decided not to extend his contract, so he is now a free agent.

The Brazilian has played in 17 La Liga games since being signed as Xavi Hernandez's temporary replacement last year. He was not registered for any European events, where Barcelona was eliminated by eventual winners Eintracht Frankfurt from the quarterfinals of the Europa League.

Alves has no problem with being released, as reported by Objective, but feels the club might have handled his leaving more politely.

I made it abundantly clear that I was older than 20 and that I like doing things directly. But recently, this club has erred. Barcelona doesn't give a damn about the individuals who have left their marks on the team.

In terms of prizes, the 39-year-old is the most decorated player in international football. Since his debut, he has won 44 honours for club and country. In contrast, he was unable to capture a further trophy during his second stint with the Blaugrana.

Former Barcelona academy player Carter Payne was killed in a hit-and-run accident in the US, according to a previous report from sports briefs. Payne was a graduate of the Barcelona academy.

It is known that Payne was riding his electric scooter when he was struck by a car, resulting in fatal injuries.

His USL team Tormenta FC 2 confirmed the unfortunate news in a statement, stating that Payne was hit by a car while utilizing a lime scooter and was in critical condition.
