Builsa South MP, Clement Apaak, has scrutinized the absence of activity from the Auditor General, Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu to prohibit and overcharge to recuperate public assets.
"The 2020 and 2021 AG provides details regarding Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) alone, which he managed over, demonstrate that GH¢12 billion and GH¢17 billion can't be represented separately. However, he isn't overcharging," the MP griped in a proclamation.
Dr. Apaak noticed that he had even gone up against Mr Asiedu himself on the issue.
"As an individual from the Public Accounts Committee, I defied him on this matter at a studio. I had trusted that would ginger him to apply the ability to deny and overcharge in the public interest, however no."
Along these lines, the MP said he has become persuaded that the ongoing AG isn't working in the public interest and not he isn't assisting with safeguarding the public satchel.
"It's a disgrace that as opposed to neutralizing defilement, the refusal of Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu to forbid and overcharge is improving debasement."

Evaluator General's Refusal To Surcharge Not In Public Interest
Why has the ongoing Auditor General (AG) Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu, would not utilize the ability to prohibit and overcharge to recuperate public assets when Daniel Yaw Domelevo utilized same to recuperate GH 66M.
The ability to forbid and overcharge was confirmed by the Supreme Court in the OccupyGhana case, and Daniel Yaw Domelevo gave it impact, until he was harassed out of office.
Unusually Domelevo's replacement, the ongoing AG, John Akuamoah Asiedu, has wouldn't utilize this power/authority. The 2020 and 2021 AG writes about Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) alone, which he managed over, demonstrate that GH 12B and GH 17B can't be represented individually. However, he isn't overcharging!
As an individual from the Public Accounts Committee, I faced him on this matter at a studio. I had trusted that would ginger him to apply the ability to forbid and overcharge in the public interest, however no.
I'm presently persuaded that the ongoing AG isn't working in the public interest, he isn't assisting with safeguarding the public tote. He is upgrading the dissemination of public assets, as a matter of fact.
It's a disgrace that as opposed to neutralizing debasement, the refusal of Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu to prohibit and overcharge is improving defilement.
An AG whose work is against the public interest isn't good for reason and should not go on without serious consequences. A public official should work in the public interest.
In Solidarity, Dr. Forgiving Apaak M.P, Builsa South.
