PSG respond to offer to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United
Paris Saint-Germain has recently received an offer for Cristiano Ronaldo, but the French champions do not want to sign the seasoned striker this summer.
Ahead of the team's trip to Asia and Australia, Ronaldo informed Manchester United that he would like to depart and did not accompany the group.
Le Parisien reports that PSG declined the opportunity to make a deal for the 37-year-old player, despite his agent Jorge Mendes' efforts to find him a new team.
The former Real Madrid star has also been offered to Chelsea, but Blues manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly not interested in bringing Ronaldo to Stamford Bridge.
Ronaldo skipped last week's preseason workout with United for "family reasons."
United's stance has not changed, and Erik ten Hag stressed the significance of Ronaldo to his ambitions at a press conference on Monday.
He's not with us because of personal matters, stated Ten Hag.
Ten Hag responded, "No, we are planning with Ronaldo for this season, so that's it. I am looking forward to working with him." when asked if Ronaldo would be sold this summer.
"I'm not sure; he hasn't told me this, so I've read, but what I say is Cristiano is not for sale; he's in our plans, and we want to succeed together."
Ten Hag also acknowledged that he hasn't spoken to Ronaldo since news of his desire to quit Old Trafford first surfaced.
"I chatted with him before this matter arose; it was a really good talk," I said.
Given that Robert Lewandowksi is set on joining Barcelona this summer, Ronaldo has also been linked to a move to Bayern Munich.
However, it appears that the German champions have no interest in signing the Portuguese.
