Xavi Wants Seven Players Sold As Part Of Major Barcelona Clear Out

After conditions for Frenkie de Jong's transfer to Manchester United were agreed upon, Barcelona manager Xavi instructed the team to sell seven players.

The Spanish powerhouses have yet to renew Dani Alves' contract, therefore they parted ways with him. Clement Lenglet, a French center back, has been sent on loan to Tottenham Hotspur. The loan arrangement between Philippe Coutinho and Aston Villa has finally been finalized. And after their stints on loan at the Nou Camp came to an end, Adama Traore and Luuk de Jong also left the team.

With the addition of the Dutchman Frenkie De Jong to the list of players leaving, Xavi is still optimistic about selling more players as he continues the club's rebuild.

The Catalan club is prepared to "force" the departures of three players, according to Diario Sport, after being informed by Xavi. Goalkeeper Neto, French center back Samuel Umtiti, and Danish international striker Martin Baithwaite are the three players in question. Xavi has informed all three players that they are no longer necessary for his plans.

Three further players who were not included in the team's preseason tour have been identified in a different Mundo Deportivo article. The management has also informed the Albanian attacker Rey Manaj, midfielder Riqui Puig, and defender Oscar Mingueza that they are no longer required and should find a new club. Manaj is almost ready to sign with Watford of the Championship.

Memphis Depay, a Dutch international, is the last player whose future is in doubt.

Depay joined the team as a free agent after leaving Lyon last summer, but he has been informed that his time there may be nearing an end.

Following the additions of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Ferran Torres in January, the Dutchman has slipped down the food chain. Tottenham were rumored to be interested in signing the winger, but Depay reportedly has no desire to join Antonio Conte's squad.

Although Depay's first goal is to remain with the Catalan club, he needs regular game action to guarantee his spot in Louis van Gaal's side before the World Cup gets underway later this year.

Xavi wants to bring in Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich and Raphinha, a winger for Leeds. Last Monday, the club officially announced the signings of Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen. Due to the expiration of their contracts with their respective clubs at the end of the previous season, both players are now free agents.
