Pep always uses his three favored midfielders, even when playing against League 2 opponents. The remainder are therefore basically bench warmers.
City will soon claim a champions league victory. They'll begin to rule as soon as they take the lead. They have such brilliance and reliability, they never change managers, and they are frugal with their money (unlike PSG). Just a neutral; not a fan of the city.
Additionally, teams like Chelsea, with players like Kante, Kovacic, Jorginho, Gallagher, Gilmour, Loftus-Cheek, Mason Mount, and Kai Havertz, have a better midfield. This would undoubtedly be quite competitive. The mistake Pep is making will bite him somehow, why selling Sterling and keeping ineffective and inefficient Grelish. However, Pep only falls out with players who don't agree with his methods and those who feel they are indispensable.
I still can't see why there is no wage cap enforcement on these clubs. The rich owners are using their money to run the club while other clubs have to be running from ticket sales and sponsorship. So as it is it's City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea Newcastle and Man U with Tottenham as the teams to win the EPL. Other teams just making up numbers, Leicester City was a one off phenomenon, hard to compete with these teams spending ability.
