Barcelona informs Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta of the proposed transfer. FC Barcelona have told Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta that they will sign him in the coming weeks, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Raheem Sterling has been spotted in London ahead of his England international medical at Chelsea following a fee agreement with Manchester City. Sterling is expected to join Chelsea in the coming days, but he must first pass a medical with Man City.

According to Spanish outlet Sport, Leeds United winger Raphinha is on the verge of joining Barcelona for €55 million (£46.6 million) plus performance-related add-ons, despite a higher offer from Chelsea.

The 25-year-old, who was left out of Leeds' pre-season tour squad in Australia, is reportedly hoping that his transfer to Barcelona will be announced within the next few hours.

Manchester United has made contact with Leandro Paredes of Paris Saint-Germain. Christian Eriksen is expected to join the club on a free transfer this week, while negotiations for Frenkie de Jong continue. Alternative midfielder targets are being considered, with Paredes being the most recent.

Despite the fact that Raheem Sterling is expected to be unveiled soon, Chelsea has yet to make a signing this summer. The Chelsea club's roster has undoubtedly flaws as a result of the departure of a significant player like Antonio Rudiger as well as the lack of transfer activity thus far.

The center-back position is currently the most difficult to fill. Rudiger and Andreas Christensen have already left, and no center back has been approached. Chelsea does require another attacker, but the back three is the more pressing concern right now.

Even if Colwill and Ampadu are talented young players, expecting them to start every game or even have much of an impact is unrealistic.

Malang Sarr is unquestionably not a starter-caliber player, and Trevoh Chalobah has also shown some inconsistent play near the end of the season.

Chelsea is said to be interested in Kalidou Koulibaly and Matthijs de Ligt. They must bring at least two center-backs to strengthen the defense.
