Despite spending nearly £100 million on Erling Haaland and Kalvin Phillips, Manchester City remains active in the transfer market.

They are interested in Brighton's Spanish full-back Marc Cucurella and will need another centre-half before allowing Nathan Ake to join Chelsea for £45 million. City will not stand in Ake's way, and the Dutchman is willing to return to Chelsea after failing to secure a regular starting spot at the Etihad.

Raheem Sterling has joined Gabriel Jesus in moving to the capital, and Pep Guardiola only wants the best for his players.

Manchester City will have to pay £65 million for Sevilla's Jules Kounde to replace Nathan Ake, according to Vital Football.

Sevilla prized the French international, who has also been linked with Chelsea, and he kept 15 clean sheets in 32 La Liga games last season.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Sevilla would want £65 million for Kounde, which could rule out a move by City, who already have Ruben Dias, John Stones, and Aymeric Laporte vying for the two center-back spots.

City are also interested in RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol.

Jules Kounde could be signed by City to replace Nathan Ake.

City are expected to sign a teen talent from Everton.

Caught Offside carries a tweet from Fabrizio Romano claiming that City are leading the race to sign Everton's Scottish striker Emilio Lawrence.

Lawrence, 16, is leaving Everton after playing for their Under-23s and Under-18s last season, sparking a bidding war.

A number of big clubs are interested in Lawrence, and Romano believes City is in pole position to sign him.
