The Global Evangelical Church has recommended its female members to quit going to churches where salvation is put to the background and only miracles are taught, while self-styled men of God or prophets extort money from their followers.
Mrs. Victoria Letsa, the wife of the Volta Regional Minister, gave advice to women during the annual Global Evangelical Church International Women Convention held at Wumenu in the Agotime Ziope District.
Speaking on behalf of the First Lady, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, Mrs. Victoria Letsa said that these churches typically prey on helpless ladies who legitimately need assistance right away.
These "so-called men of God" generally prey on our defenceless ladies, who are more susceptible to falsehoods about their circumstances and even extortion. She urged Christians to support the administration in its efforts to address the many economic issues the nation is now experiencing by praying for the government.
The wife of the regional minister made the observation that despite government actions that have changed people's lives, the country's fortunes can only be realised if all well-meaning Ghanaians provide the government with the necessary support.
Participants from all around the world attended the four-day convention with the theme: "Christian woman, be a resolute faithful steward." "Women's contributions to the formation of our country cannot be overstated. The nation's moral and spiritual well-being is monitored by women, according to her.
She asked Ghanaian women to continue acting as watchdogs against any vices including immorality, corruption, and poor management. She also advised them to maintain good work habits.
The Global Women Ministry continues to be the largest ministry in the church and has made a good influence on the lives of women and their households, according to Mrs. Vivian Doe, the international coordinator of the ministry.
Many initiatives are being carried out, according to Mrs. Doe, to assist women in becoming self-sufficient and economically independent.
The Global Evangelical Church's Moderator, Rt Rev Prosper Samuel Dzomeku, stated that the Church would continue to assist in the spiritual upliftment of its members, particularly the women who look after the households.
