In recent weeks, Real Madrid has added a ton of promising players. They just acquired a few players from the Atletico Madrid youth system. They acquired the very gifted striker Noel Lopez from Deportivo La Coruna just before that.

They appear to be nearing the end of another signing right now. A signing anyway, albeit not the one we had hoped to see.
Real Madrid are very close to signing Alvaro Leiva, claims a MARCA report. According to the source, he is actually just a single step away from being a Madrid player. He will be registered with the Castilla team, but my gosh, the upcoming campaign for Castilla is looking so, so intriguing.
A game between Algeciras and Castilla apparently involved some sort of "improper alignment," which delayed the closing of the contract. However, it is expected to be finished very shortly.
The fact that the player declined Barcelona makes this much sweeter.
Leiva was interested in joining Barcelona, but he had his heart set on Real Madrid.
You've all probably seen the remarks from Pedri about how Real Madrid rejected him and how signing with Barcelona was the best move of his career and other such things. Indeed, it is inconvenient. The man always says, "Stop," in interviews, is I right?
The youth system in Barcelona, in my opinion, is no longer what it once was. Players prefer the Real academy to joining Barcelona.
Even if I don't really know anything about the player, the buy does look interesting. Right-footed Leiva is a winger who can also play as a second striker. Given that Peter Federico can handle the right wing, I do believe Real Madrid Castilla needs a left winger.

However, Oscar Aranda plays on the left flank, and while I think he is a good player, he just won't be given a chance to play for the first team, you know? He lacks the determining component, so to speak. Based on the videos I've viewed, I do believe Leiva is unique.

I do, however, hope that he gets better because Raul would turn him into an amazing weapon if he can join the squad, score, and assist goals, which would make Castilla incredibly compelling to watch the following season, if they aren't already.
