Arise Ghana will host a Krom Ay Hye demonstration in Kumasi.
Arise Ghana's leaders have announced intentions to hold a second protest on August 22, 2022, this time in Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region.
"AriseGhana will hold a massive demonstration on August 22, 2022, in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Region, in keeping with our goal of championing the interests and welfare of Ghanaians.
"Ghanaians from all walks of life will gather in the garden city for this demonstration, which will be the second of a series of protests we plan to hold across the length and breadth of the country, to protest the severe economic hardships imposed on them by the callous Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government," Bernard Mornah, a member of the Arise Ghana group, said while addressing the press on Tuesday.
Additionally, the pressure group requested that all charges against 31 of its members who were detained during the first demonstration exercise in June be dropped by the Ghana Police Service.
Some protestors were taken into custody by the police on June 28 during the demonstration.
Republic for the provision of proper and sufficient compensation to all victims of injury. We won't stop until every injured individual receives justice.
Until their innocence is established, Bernard Mornah continued, "AriseGhana will continue to offer the required legal help for all the innocent protestors who were detained and are still being harassed by the despotic Akufo-Addo/Bawumia regime."
Today, a youth organization going by the name of Arise Ghana took to the streets of Accra to demonstrate against the country's economic problems and rising fuel prices.
This is due to the Accra High Court giving the demonstrators permission to hold a one-day protest rather than the two-day protest they had originally planned.
On Monday, Ghana Police asked the court to order the Arise Ghana demonstration to end before dark for safety grounds.
Demonstrators are instructed by the Accra High Court to hold their demonstration from Tuesday morning until around 4 p.m.
However, protesters claim that they would proceed with their original plan to end the demonstration on Tuesday night at roughly 10 p.m.
