Blessed Godsbrain Smart, often known as Captain Smart, a well-known broadcaster, has called the government's nursing and teacher trainee allowances the most pointless policies Ghana has ever had.
He claims that the government only created the trainee allowance policies in order to score political points and that they are unfair.
Captain Smart claimed that the administration has already chosen to during his Maakye show on Onua TV, which GhanaWeb is watching.
The majority of Ghanaians are currently facing economic insecurity. In the face of imminent economic ruin, even the government has turned to the International Monetary Fund. Industrial strikes and demonstrations are now commonplace. There are now four pre-tertiary teacher unions on strike. There will be a strike, according to the Ghana Medical Association, Public Services Workers Union, and Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwifery Association.
Johnnie Hughes has forewarned of yet another significant strike as the government battles to maintain their labor unions in operation. He explained that the Ghana Revenue Authority's Customs Division's more than 3000 officers are going to go on strike as well. Along with other relevant issues, their complaints include complaints about promotion. He lamented the absurd pass standards created in order to disqualify the policemen.
"Ghana will lose money at the ports if they decide to strike. Every day, they raise roughly 984 million cedis. The GRA's lowest aim is 20 billion, and they anticipate receiving around 80 billion in 2022. Ghana will lose over 900 million dollars at the very least if they go on strike, even for one day. They are the same individuals that conduct cargo inspections at ports and borders. Imagine the consequences once terrorists begin to breach the border. Johnnie advised not waiting for them to go on strike before sending people to beseech them.
Ken Ofori Atta, Col. Damoah, and others were urged by Johnnie to complete their tasks and resolve the problems of the Customs Division.
