Hellen Tetteh, who is in her early 30s, gave birth to five children (quintuplets) - two more than doctors found during the scan.

Due to the difficulties she experienced in childbirth, she gave birth to her children by caesarean section at St Martin's de Porres Hospital in Agormanya in the Eastern Region.

Information gathered from sources indicates that the 37-year-old woman gave birth to her quintuplets on Wednesday morning to the delight of her entire family and doctors on duty.

The babies, despite being born during the early third trimester, are healthy and in a stable condition.

As a precaution, they are currently in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to gain weight before being released with their mother.

According to sources, Hellen Tettey is already blessed with twins. She is said to have lost the father of the twins and subsequently remarried.

She just gave birth to five babies with her new husband.

Reacting to the birth of her quintuplets, she said she was quite surprised as she was told she was expecting triplets from scans carried out during her pregnancy.

In the midst of her excitement, she thanked Almighty God for protecting her and the children and begged for support.

Dr. Bansah Miriam Theodora, who is a clinical coordinator at St. Martins de Pores, during media involvement in the birth, confirmed that all the babies are doing very well.

“Tonight the midwives called me saying a pregnant woman was brought in but her SFH was over 35 which was 50cm. So we went to an emergency CS where we delivered 5 babies which is a quintuplet. Babies do well in incubators, so does mom. I'm happy because it's the first time I give a high five.

"They are currently in the neonatal intensive care unit and they are doing everything for them to improve their weight which is now less than 1kg, we hope to help them gain more weight, at least 1.8kg or 2kg than they are we will release," said Dr. Bansah Miriam Theodora. journalists.
