Barcelona has acknowledged that they and Leeds United have come to an agreement in principle for the transfer of Raphinha. The Catalan club will shell out 58 million euros for the Brazilian winger, minus bonuses. He rises to the position of ninth most expensive player in club history. But Ousmane Dembele continues to be the most costly acquisition in Barcelona's record. Borussia Dortmund's services were purchased from them for 140 million euros.
Barcelona has also acquired two additional players for over 100 million Euros, in addition to Dembele. The players in question are Antoine Griezmann and Phillippe Coutinho. Even though Barcelona spent a lot of money on these two players, they don't perform well there, which is why Coutinho was traded to Aston Villa. Neymar Junior moved from Santos to Barcelona in an 88 million euro transaction. The Brazilian forward joined Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez to form a potent attacking combination. In contrast to Griezmann, Dembele, and Coutinho, he was a huge success at Barcelona.
However, Frenkie de Jong was acquired from Ajax Amsterdam for 86 million euros during the 2019–20 campaign. Erik Ten Hag is now interested in the Dutch midfielder and Manchester United is close to making a deal to bring him over from Barcelona. Along with Messi and Neymar, Luis Suarez joined the team for 81.72 million euros in the 2014–15 season, forming a potent attacking combination. He currently ranks among Barcelona's all-time leading scorers.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Miralem Pjanic, and Ferran Torres are among other players who made the top 10 list. However, Barcelona's ability to place second in the 2021/22 La Liga standings was due to Ferran Torres, who joined from Manchester City during that season. Pjanic, who joined Barcelona in a move of 60 million euros with Juventus for the 2020–21 season, fell short of expectations. Do you believe Raphinha will fulfill everyone's expectations in Barcelona?
