According to Area Napoli, Serie A team Napoli is reportedly considering using Bailly in place of Kalidou Koulibaly.
According to The Guardian, the Italian team has agreed to transfer Koulibaly to Chelsea for a sum of £33.8 million, and he will soon have a medical.
Four years ago, at a cost triple that of what Chelsea is paying, Koulibaly was heavily associated with Manchester United. The Senegalese international, who is already 31 years old, is finally moving to the Premier League.

Eric Bailly's transfer to Napoli has been rumored
Napoli has a small list of candidates for Koulibaly's replacement, including Eric Bailly.
Axel Tuanzebe was sent on loan from Manchester United to Napoli in January, but due to injuries, he struggled to have an impact.
In the first match of the preseason trip against Liverpool, Bailly was one of United's better performers, which may have put him in the spotlight.

The likely acquisition of Lisandro Martinez would drop Bailly to the fifth center-back spot, significantly reducing his chances of seeing action.
According to The Telegraph, he is up for transfer but is also prepared to stick around and compete for a spot under Erik ten Hag.
