Former Crystal Palace owner, Simon Jordan, has said Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag will want Cristiano Ronaldo to leave the club immediately.
According to him, the Dutchman was only playing games with his press conference comments when he said the 37-year-old football icon is part of his team for the coming season and is not for sale.
“I can imagine Ten Hag can’t wait to get Ronaldo out the bleedin’ door, but he’s towing the party line for the positioning of how that exit happens,” Jordan said on talkSPORT.
“These guys will say certain things to ensure there’s a particular perspective put on it, so they can control as much of the process as they can.
“It is nonsense that he has not gone on his tour for personal reasons. He hasn’t gone because he doesn’t want to be at Manchester United anymore.”
Jordan noted that at this point, Ten Hag would not want a revolution with a reluctant player, especially someone like Ronaldo who is always in the headline.
He said the Dutchman’s focus is to build a football club and he needs everyone to pull together, not to deal and cater for one individual, adding that he would want Ronaldo “Out, out, out, out, out.”
